Step 1: Confirm your eligibility to vote

  • A Canadian citizen;
  • At least 18 years old (on or by final voting day);
  • A resident, landowner or tenant in Markham's Ward 7 (or the spouse of one); and,
  • Registered to vote

Step 2: Register to vote

Check, update or add your information to Markham's voters’ list (even if you voted in a recent election)

Step 3: Watch for your voter information letter in the mail closer to voting days

If you don’t receive your voter information letter by September 19, double-check that you’re registered to vote

Step 4: Make a plan to vote

Choose the voting option that works best for you:

  • In person at any voting place in Ward 7
  • Elections Markham Headquarters (September 22 to 25, by appointment)
