Voting

We strive to continue innovating municipal elections and are committed to making voting easy, accessible and inclusive for all voters in Markham. 

You can vote if you are:

• A Canadian citizen;
• At least 18 years of age;
• A Markham resident, property owner or tenant; and,
• On the Voters' List.
  
  

You can vote for the following offices:

• Mayor
• Regional Councillor (up to 4)
• Ward Councillor
• School Board Trustee

You can only vote once in the 2022 Markham Municipal Election, no matter how many voting days there are or how many properties you own or rent in Markham.
